An elementary school aged student with mild intellectual disability - a comparison of education in inclusive schools and those established according to paragraph 16

The bachelor's thesis is focused on an elementary school aged student with mild intellectual disabilities - a comparison of education in inclusive schools and those established according to paragraph 16 of the Schools Act. The aim of the research is to compare the education of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities at a primary school established under paragraph 16 section 9 of the Schools Act and at an inclusive primary school. The sub-objective is to establish whether there are differences between the two types of schools in terms of providing conditions for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. The theoretical part contains four main chapters. The first chapter characterizes the period of an elementary school aged student. The following chapter focuses on intellectual disability, especially mild intellectual disability. The third chapter deals with the system of care and services for children with intellectual disabilities and their legal representative. The last chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities. This chapter mentions the education of pupils with intellectual disabilities before 1989, after 1989 and the current educational opportunities of these pupils, while the chapter also focuses on the current educational opportunities of pupils with mild intellectual disabilities. A qualitative method was used for the research part, namely semi-structured interviews. The research showed that there are some differences between the two types of schools. Differences emerged in staffing conditions, the use of special education resources and the application of an individual approach to pupils. This bachelor's thesis contributes to the knowledge of the current situation in the education of pupils with mild mental disabilities.
Motor skills in a student with developmental dysphasia at a younger school age

This diploma thesis focuses on motor skills of pupils with developmental language disorder in their middle childhood years. Theoretical part describes the characteristics typical for middle childhood pupil in areas of basic abilities and skills, learning process, emotional development, and socialization. Next chapter of the theoretical part concerns the motor skills of person and define movement skills of pupils with developmental language disorder. In last chapter the diagnosis of developmental language disorder is presented defined form several different points such as ethology, classification, diagnosis, therapy and prognosis. Empiric part of the thesis consists of two research methods, first the test of motor skills and second the survey. The test of motor skill is to provide data about movements skills of pupils with developmental language disorder. For this test was used the ability test provided by Sazka Olympijský víceboj. The ability test focuses on several individual parts of motor skills such as force, speed, coordination, dynamics (explosivity) and flexibility. Development of the Initial Reading Literacy in ITV (Integrated Thematical Content)

The diploma thesis deals with development of the initial reading literacy in integrated thematical content (ITC). In the theoretical part, attention is paid to initial education, its definition, methods of teaching reading, organizational forms and evaluation. The thesis briefly describes the development of integrated thematic teaching, explains its concept and important components, and it also describes the use of this teaching technique in the 1st grade of primary schools, especially in the first years of studies. Another part of the work is focused on the personality of the pupil of younger primary school age, on his cognitive and social prerequisites for successful entry into school. The research part is implemented through several methods, where I tried to obtain a wider range of data for the use of integrated thematic teaching in the development of initial reading literacy. Possibilities and application of theatrical education on the First Stage of Elementary school system in the Czech Republic

This Diploma Thesis discusses the topic of theatrical education, its application and possibilities in the field of First Stage Elementary school education. The topic has been chosen due to a single theory, that the theatrical education is only seldom used in the educational process. It is under consideration, whether and to what extent teachers use the theatrical education during tuition. The paper is dividied into two main parts: theoretical and practical. Theoretical part is based on various scientific papers and resources. It points its interest on theatrical education, its methodology and application during tuition. In the practical part, the main focus is the research of usage rate of theatrical education during tuition on the First Stage of the Elementary school. It investigates methods used most druing the tuition, as well as in what kind of school subjects the theatrical education is used. For data collection, I chose the method of a standardized questionnaire. Questioning, I found out which method of drama education teachers at the 1st stage of primary school use and in which subjects the drama education is included. Development of reading skills by motivational activities - using tablets

This dissertation focuses on development of reading skills in teaching Czech language on the first grade of elementary schools with application of motivation effect of modern technologies. The thesis focuses mainly on usage of tablets as the latest technology, which currently begins to be used in classes of the elementary schools. In the theoretical part, I apply terms such as reading skill, reading literacy, motivation, and motivate activities. I present methods for teaching reading and describe individual modern technologies that are used in teaching. The goal of this dissertation is to show by what manners may be the tablets applied in the teaching. One section of the practical part is a collection of applications that can be used for development of reading skills. Furthermore, I introduce how the work looks in a class with the tablets by description of sample lessons and I compare it with the work which does not use the modern technologies. Cube nets as a tool for the development of geometrical thinking of primary school pupils

Work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendence

This thesis deals with the laterality and the ways of diagnosis at children. It is divided into three parts - theoretical, practical and appendixes. The theoretical part deals with laterality, methods of diagnostic and methodology of work with left-handed pupil at the beginning of the school attendance. The aim of research in the practical part of the thesis was to find information about working with left-handed pupils between the students of primary teaching and teachers in practise. The appendixes of this thesis include the questionnaires used for the practical part of the thesis and worksheets for pupils to relax their hand while writing.
Climate of a school class

Precis The diploma paper is concentrated on the subject of a school class climate and the related occurrence of bullying in various types of primary schools. Its theoretical part deals with the description and definition of the main topics: the classroom climate and the bullying in classroom. At the same time it focuses on the description of a student, teacher and their relationship; description of the display and prevention of bullying and last but not least it presents the conception of an alternative school. The practical part deals with research among the students as well as the teachers, with the goal to find out what the climate in the classroom is, to which degree bullying occurs, how much is education about abuse and bullying emphasised and what is the relationship between a student and a teacher. It simultaneously compares the unanimity of views between the student and the teacher on the given topic. In order to gain the needed data, students were given a questionnaire and a semi-standardised interview was carried out with the teachers.

Annotation: The thesis includes both theory and original research. It focuses on a pupil in early childhood in the context of social group and school classroom. The thesis deals with the relationship between a pupil's classroom status and his academic results. The conclusions are based on the results of research of primary school pupils.
Iva Prochazkova: literatury work by methods of drama education

The Abstract My dissertation is dedicated to a characteristic of pupils of primary school age from the point of developmental psychology and mutual relation of this age group and the reading in its teoretical part. The importan part of dissertation are the chapters which are aimed to well- marked personality of our literature Mrs. Iva Procházková. There is an analysis of Prochazkova's creation in my dissertation too. There is a more detailed characteristic of three chosen tituls - Pět minut před večeří, Středa nám chutná, Únos domů in teoretical part. And this part looks into mutual relation between dramatic education and literature. The target of my research is to prove the suitability of chosen chapters for the work in dramatic education. There are analysis of these literature patterns from education's view in the practical part. These titules are made as the projects of teaching lessons.
